Hello! I'm a writer, teacher and editor, born, raised and living in New York City.
A full-time member of the English Department at Regis High School, I teach year-long courses in American, British and Irish literature along with various elective courses. I am also a Teaching Associate at Fordham University where I teach undergrad courses in philosophy of human nature and ethics.
I'm currently concluding my doctoral studies in Philosophy at Fordham University under the direction of Dr. Jennifer Gosetti-Ferencei. At the moment I'm a PhD (ABD). My dissertation, now underway, explores Maurice Merleau-Ponty's philosophy of literature. Save for my advisor, my committee, maybe my mother and perhaps my partner, I do not expect anyone to read this once it is finished. I'll leave a .pdf of it here once it's done if you're interested.
For your entertainment, I tweet miscellaneous profundities at @davidwgrunner and instagram my books and coffee on the daily at @d2xug.
